Park My Heart

Park My Heart

by Frank Sardella

Excuse me, can you help me?
I need to find my way
I been drivin’ ‘round for hours
and been lost for several days
I’m lookin’ for directions
so I can move on through
And, if I make good time,
I just might make it back to you
So, tell me…

Do you know a good place
where I can park my heart?
I’m lookin’ for that one space,
but I haven’t gotten very far
Can’t you see the miles on my face
and my soul locked in my car?
Do you know a good place
where I can park my heart?

Let’s drive it to the limit
and to the very end,
a detour to be lovers
from the interstate of friends
Please don’t make me wonder
whether you don’t or you do
Don’t make me wait here standing,
I am parked in front of you
So, tell me…

Do you know a good place
where I can park my heart?
I’m lookin’ for that one space,
but I haven’t gotten very far
Can’t you see the miles on my face
and my soul locked in my car?
Do you know a good place
where I can park my heart?

Should I drop these metaphors
and tell it to you straight,
or should I put my heart into your hands?
So, tell me where to park
I’m lookin’ for a place
to park my heart…

Do you know a good place
where I can park my heart?

I’m lookin’ for that one space,
but I haven’t gotten very far
Can’t you see the miles on my face
and my soul locked in my car?
Do you know a good place
where I can park my heart,
I can park my heart,
I can park my heart,
I can park my heart?
